Katie and Tom’s marriage is in trouble. So is their bank account.
So, when Tom blindsides her by saying that his boss is sending him to Australia – permanently – Katie realises it might just be what they need to save their marriage.
Trouble is, she doesn’t like the heat, can’t swim and hates spiders.
Thrown into Sydney’s sun, surf and school-gate politics, Katie finds unexpected friendship in glamorous, wealthy Naomi and bohemian Ann. But as the wine flows and the secrets pile up – money lies, marriages on the brink, dangerous crushes and one unforgivable betrayal – the gloss on their new lives starts to peel away.
When a holiday meant to fix everything blows her world apart, Katie has to decide what “home” really means – and whether some vows are worth fighting for or finally letting go.
A must-read for fans of Liane Moriarty and Marian Keyes who love twisty domestic drama, flawed characters and sharply observed humour.
